TULSA MEN'S GOLF HEADS TO JACK NICKLAUS INVITATIONAL

Sept. 26, 2014 COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Tulsa men's golf team will spend Sunday and Monday at the Ohio State University Golf Club on the par-71 Scarlet course for the 2014 Jack Nicklaus Invitational. The 54-hole tournament runs Sept. 28-29 on the 7,455-yard course.
The field features some of the nations top teams including host Ohio State, East Tennessee State, Georgia Regents, Kansas State, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee State, Northern Illinois, Pepperdine, Purdue, Troy and the Golden Hurricane.
This is the fifth year the Buckeyes have hosted the invitational, but only the first time that Tulsa has participated.
Last week the Hurricane finished tied for 8th place at the Windon Memorial Classic with a team total of 862. Senior Colton Staggs, who had a record-tying third round score of 63, won medalist honors to lead the team to their top-10 finish.
