Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts Temple on Saturday

The Tulsa men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, October 17 against Temple beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
 
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.  Youth 12 and under can get in free by wearing a soccer jersey, and TU students can show their student ID to receive free admission at the gate.  
 
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch.  There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
 
Tulsa has a 5-5-2 mark this season, including a 1-2-1 record in American Athletic Conference play.  The Golden Hurricane men have faced five top-25 opponents, including three in the top-five, so far this season.  The Golden Hurricane tied #2 Virginia (1-1, 2OT), and fell to #1 Creighton (1-0), #4 North Carolina (2-1), #18 USF (2-1) and #22 Saint Louis (1-0, 2OT).
 
As a team, Tulsa ranks 35th in total assists (19), 45th in total goals (19) and 48th in total points (57) and among the nation's best.
 
The Hurricane has tallied 19 goals this season from 11 different players, including a team-best five scores from Juan Sanchez, while Geoffrey Dee, Miguel Velasquez, Cameron Drackett and Bradley Bourgeois each have two goals. TU also has 19 assists from 11 players, including three each from Dee and Saari.  Jake McGuire has logged over 840 minutes in goal, allowed 12 goals for a 1.28 GAA and has picked up 36 saves, while Brandon Hanat and Marcel Da Silva have both played two games in goal this season.
 
Temple has a 9-3-2 overall record, including a 1-3 mark in The American.  The Owls are led by Jorge Gomez Sanchez, who has tallied team-bests of 12 goals and four assists for 28 points.  Alex Cagle has played the majority of minutes in goal, has 11 goals-against for a 0.81 GAA, picked up 40 saves and has five shutouts this season.
 
Tulsa and Temple met for the first time last season when the Golden Hurricane earned a 2-1 double-overtime win in Philadelphia.
