The Hurricane concludes its season with an 18-13 record

The University of Tulsa men's tennis team saw its season come to a close on Saturday, after a 4-0 loss to the No. 6 TCU Horned Frogs in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Saturday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Golden Hurricane concludes its 2015 season with an 18-13 record.

With the win, TCU advances to the third round of the tournament to take on Wake Forest on May 14.

The No. 30 Hurricane fell behind early, after being narrowly edged out for the crucial doubles point. TCU's No. 30 duo, Cameron Norrie and Trevor Johnson, won the day's first match, beating No. 77Matthew Kirby and Dylan McCloskey, 8-3, from the No. 2 spot. Or Ram-Harel and Alejandro Espejothen earned the upset win over No. 20 Nick Chappell and Will Stein, 8-4, forcing the No. 3's to decide the point. It was the Horned Frogs who came away with the match, winning the tiebreak, 8-7(10-8), to edge out the Hurricane for the early lead.

TCU used that momentum to take control of the match. No. 39 Norrie defeated Kirby from the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-1, to give the home side a 2-0 lead. The Horned Frogs tallied another point, after No. 59 Nunoz beat No. 87 Espejo, 6-3, 6-4 from the No. 2 position. TCU clinched the match when Arnau Dachs beat yesterday's hero for Tulsa, Carlos Bautista, 6-2, 6-3, from the No. 5 spot.
