
Tulsa Golfers Begin Season Saturday at Rod Myers Invitational

The University of Tulsa men's golf team begins the 2015-16 season on Saturday with two rounds of golf at the sixth annual Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke University Golf Club.
The 54-hole event featured 36 holes of play on Saturday and an 18-hole final round on Sunday, with play beginning at 7:40 a.m. (ET). Tulsa tees off at 8:25 for their first round of the season.
The teams participating in 12-team field include host Duke, Penn State, UNCW, Liberty, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Kansas, Notre Dame, Davidson, UNCG, Kansas State, Maryland, Loyola-Maryland and Tulsa.
A rather young squad takes the course tomorrow for the Hurricane with juniors Matthew Marquez and Sebastian Smith leading the way with sophomore Francisco Yanez, red-shirt freshman Sam Humphreys and true freshman Marc Kepka.
Tulsa looks to improve upon last year 10th place performance at the Rod Myers Invitational.
