TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa cross country teams will be back in action this weekend, when they run at the Cowboy Jamboree at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla.

The Tulsa men's team is ranked No. 28 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I National Coaches Poll, released Tuesday. The TU men are also ranked third in the Midwest Region, while the women's team is ranked fifth in the Midwest Region, and receiving votes in the national poll. Tulsa is the only American Athletic Conference school ranked or receiving votes in each national poll.

Saturday's races begin for the Hurricane at 9:15 a.m. with the women's 5K, followed by the men's 8K race at 9:45 a.m. TU will compete against Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Oral Roberts, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, and Abilene Christian, among others.

The Hurricane ran at the Cowboy Duels in Stillwater on Sept. 1 to begin the season. This weekend's race will be the first competition since the season-opening meet. TU then runs at Wisconsin on Oct. 14, ahead of the American Athletic Conference Championships on Oct. 29 in Cincinnati.
