Spotlight on Trevis Gipson …
#15 Trevis Gipson • 6-4 • 239 • Defensive End
Trevis Gipson is a junior defensive end from Cedar Hill, Texas. With the graduation of starting ends Jesse Brubaker and Jeremy Smith, Trevis has an opportunity to earn one of the starting spots at defensive end. Trevis has played in all 25 career games and has 19 tackles. He recorded played in 11 stops, one PBU and one forced fumble in 2017, while playing in all 12 games. Trevis is majoring in exercise & sports science and is expected to graduate in May 2019.
What I like about spring football…
Honestly, just getting back on the field ever since the end of the season.
My focus this spring…
It's to be a little more powerful from the 3-technique and a three-point stance, and working on my pass rush.
Favorite part of football…
Being physical. I like the hitting on the field. It gets your anger out a little bit.
In high school…
I played basketball and football all four years of high school. I was recruited by USF for basketball, but that was the only team recruiting me for basketball.
Role Model…
My older brother Thomas. He plays professional basketball overseas in Finland right now. I don't get to see him much right now. It's just the way he leads and how he keeps his head on straight. He went to Kansas State and played all four years.
Favorite NFL player…
Von Miller. He's one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.

I have quite a few tattoos. My favorite is the Lion with a crown. He's the king of the jungle, the best of the breed.
