“Tulsa Plays!” Summer Kids Program in its Third Year; Kicks Off Wednesday at H.A. Chapman Stadium on the TU Campus

TULSA, Okla. –– For the third consecutive summer, The University of Tulsa athletic department will conduct the "Tulsa Plays!" summer program. The first "Tulsa Plays!" event is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 27, 2018, on the TU campus. The venues used will be H.A. Chapman Stadium and Mabee Gymnasium.
 
The "Tulsa Plays!" initiative is a community program designed to encourage kids to play and live a healthy and active lifestyle. 
 
Tulsa Plays! gives kids, ages 12 & under, an opportunity to participate in sports activities with TU student-athletes. It is a FREE event. All children will need to have a waiver signed by a legal guardian or parent to participate. 
 
Kids can participate in a variety of running and agility drills, as well as specific drills pertaining to different sports.  Each participant will receive an activity card that they can take to each activity station. At each station they will receive a sticker of completion. At the end of the day, kids can redeem their activity card for a Tulsa Plays! gift pack.
