
Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Climb in USTFCCA Poll

The University of Tulsa men's and women's cross country teams continue to climb in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I National Cross-Country Poll, which was announced on Monday.
Coming off of a school best first place finish in the NCAA Midwest regional, the men's team landed at 6th in the poll. Tulsa follows #1 Northern Arizona, Colorado, BYU, Stanford and Portland.
The Hurricane finished ahead of No. 5 Iowa State and No. 23 Oklahoma State on their way to taking the top spot at the regional.
For the first time this season the women's cross-country team landed themselves in the top 30. After their second place finish at the Midwest regional they climbed from receiving votes to 24th in the poll.
In the regional, Tulsa only finished behind No. 22 Illinois but finished ahead of No. 25 Oklahoma State and No. 26 Minnesota.
Both the men's and women's teams will travel to the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind. It will be the men's 10th appearance and the women's third ever Championship.
