Tulsa Falls at No. 13 Oklahoma State on Tuesday Night

STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 13 Oklahoma State pulled away late with two runs in the fifth and sixth on its way to a 5-0 win over visiting Tulsa on Tuesday night at the Cowgirl Softball Complex.
Rylie Spell went 2-for-3 to lead the Golden Hurricane (28-15), while Chenise Delce had a hit and took the loss in the circle after she allowed a run on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Delce's record moved to 12-5 during the season.
Meanwhile, Madi Sue Montgomery went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to pace the Cowgirls (33-11), who scored four of their five runs with two outs. Samantha Show had a pair of doubles and RBIs and also went the distance in the circle to improve to 14-5. Show yielded just four hits and struck out three in the victory.
Montgomery put Oklahoma State on the board in the bottom of the second with a two-out single through the left side. The score stood at 1-0 in favor of the Cowgirls until the fifth, when Montgomery doubled to plate a run and came around to score on Chyenne Factor's hit up the middle.
The final two runs came an inning later on Show's two-out, two-RBI double to left.
Tulsa's best scoring opportunity came in the top of the third, when Alexis Perry got on with a one-out single. She moved to third following a wild pitch and a grounder. Mikayla Whitten also reached on an error and TU had both runners in scoring position with two outs, but Show got out of the jam unscathed.
The Hurricane will return to the diamond at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 when it will host UCF (28-14, 7-5) in game one of a three-game American Athletic Conference series at Collins Family Softball Complex.
