Tulsa's Gipson and Robinson in Saturday's Senior Bowl Aired on the NFL Network

TULSA, Okla. –– The Annual Reese's Senior Bowl game this Saturday, Jan. 25, features Tulsa Golden Hurricane defensive standouts Trevis Gipson and Reggie Robinson II.

The game, a post-season college football all-star game that showcases the best NFL Draft prospects of those players who have completed their college eligibility, will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, with a 1:30 p.m. (CT) kickoff time and will be televised on the NFL Network.

The Tulsa tandem of end Gipson and cornerback Robinson II are members of the South Team. Tulsa is the only American Athletic Conference school represented by two players, while Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, SMU and Temple have one each playing in the Reese's Senior Bowl. In addition, the University of Oklahoma has two players participating and Oklahoma State with one playing in the game.

Both players were selected as American Athletic Conference first team performers during their senior seasons. They are the 27^th and 28^th Tulsa players in school history to appear in the Senior Bowl game. The duo is Tulsa's first Senior Bowl participants since tight end Charles Clay's appearance in 2010, and it's the first time since 1995 that Tulsa will have had two players (DE Sedric Clark and OC David Millwee) participate in the annual bowl game.

Gipson, a 6'4", 268-pound senior from Cedar Hill (Texas) High School, finished the season with 49 tackles from his defensive end position. He was among the league leaders for sacks with 8 for -52 yards and tackles for loss with 15 for -72 yards, ranking 5^th for sacks and 7^th for TFLs. He also added 6 quarterback hurries and forced 2 fumbles on the year.

Gipson finished his career with 114 tackles, 25.5 TFLs and 13 sacks, while Robinson tallied 132 stops, 34 pass break-ups and 4 blocked kicks in his career.

Robinson II was the league's leader for passes defended with 17, including a conference leading 13 pass break-ups and ranked second for interceptions with 4. The 6'1" senior from Cleburne (Texas) High School totaled 38 tackles, ranked 6^th in the AAC for fumbles recovered with 2 and had one blocked kick this year.

Robinson was named The American's Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against UCF when he totaled 5 tackles, all solos, 3 pass break-ups and one interception that led to Tulsa's game-winning field goal. In the Wyoming game, Robinson blocked a field goal and recovered a fumble late in the game that gave Tulsa the victory. In the season finale against ECU, Robinson collected a career-best 4 pass break-ups and had a 31-yard fumble recovery.
