Tulsa-Cincinnati Football Game Postponed

TULSA, Okla. –– The American Athletic Conference has announced that Saturday's football game between Tulsa and Cincinnati has been postponed, due to COVID-19 cases at Cincinnati and the ensuing quarantine of student-athletes.

The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 at H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma. TU will now open the home season on Friday, Oct. 30, against the East Carolina Pirates.

Tickets and parking purchased for the original Oct.17 date will remain valid for the rescheduled game, and ticket holders do not need to take further action. For more information regarding tickets, please visit TulsaHurricane.com or contact the ticket office at tuticketoffice@utulsa.edu.

"I'm disappointed, first, for our football student-athletes and coaches, and obviously for our staff who has prepared so diligently, our campus and the City of Tulsa. This TU Homecoming game was a great opportunity to showcase our football program, the community and the American Athletic Conference against the nation's No. 8 team," said Tulsa's Director of Athletics Rick Dickson. "As the university, the conference and the NCAA have said throughout this pandemic, the health and safety of our student-athletes are at the forefront of all decisions."

Tulsa will be in action against the USF Bulls next Friday, Oct. 23, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT) / 7:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPN.

Tickets for the ECU home game will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 23 at 8:30 a.m. online at Tulsahurricane.com/tickets.

The American also has announced that the 2020 American Athletic Conference Football Championship will be played either Dec. 12 or Dec. 19. A final decision regarding the date of the championship game will be made no earlier than Nov. 1.
