TULSA, Okla
. – Celyna Shaw establishes her name in Tulsa history, becoming the first Golden Hurricane to hit three home runs in a game as Tulsa run-ruled the Drake Bulldogs 8-0 and the UIC Flames 9-1 on the second day of the OSU/TU Tournament at Collins Family Softball Complex.

Before today's game, 20 times a Golden Hurricane batter has hit 2 home runs in a game with the most recent being Haley Meinen against Oklahoma State on May 17, 2019 in the Stillwater Regional.

Shaw, who hit a home run in all 3 of her at bats against Drake, came into the game 0-6 from the plate. Her third home run of the day was crushed off of the scoreboard in left center field ending the game by run-ruling the Bulldogs 8-0.

The Hurricane picked up its 10th and 11th wins of the season by delivering at the plate. Junior, Kyndal Pirtle went 4-7 on the day scoring 3 runs while driving in another.

Kari Briggs, for the second consecutive game, hit a home run with a two-run blast in the first inning against the Bulldogs. In the second game against the flames, she showed off her speed, by legging out a triple off a ball she ripped down the right field line.

The Hurricane pitching was consistent throughout the day, as Samantha Pochop and Chenise Delce both picked up wins for Tulsa. Pochop went 6 innings on her way to her 3rd win, while Delce pitched 5.1 allowing one run securing her 5th win fo the season.

Game One (Tulsa 8, Drake 0)

Pirtle started the inning off for Tulsa singling to left field before stealing second base. Alexis Perry's single drove in the first run for the Hurricane. Briggs drew a full count from the Bulldog pitcher before sending a two-run shot over the right field fence.

Tulsa did not stop there, as two batters later Sarah Briers smashed a ball over the left field fence, giving Tulsa the early 4-0 lead.

Shaw continued the home run onslaught in the bottom of the second inning, leading off with a solo home run. She did it again in the bottom of the third, with two outs and Abby Jones on first base stretching the Tulsa lead to 7-0.

With a 2-1 lead entering the bottom of the 6th inning, Briers led off with a double, before Aubree Seaney singled putting two on for Tulsa. Gracie Jarvis pinch ran for Seaney, recording her first career stolen base during the next batter.

After a Flames pitching change, Tulsa used two walks to push across another run. Delce gave the Hurricane a 7-1 lead on a sacrifice fly to left field scoring Pirtle.
