We caught up recently with the "Big O" Jerry Ostroski, an All-American football offensive lineman for the Golden Hurricane in 1991.
He came to Tulsa in 1988 from Collegeville, Pennsylvania and jumped into the lineup as a part-time starter his freshman season. After his four years with the Hurricane that included two Bowl Game appearances, Ostroski went on for a nine-year career with the Buffalo Bills.
Following his NFL days, Ostroski and his family settled back in Tulsa, where he has spent time as a high school coach, hosted a successful sports radio show and now is back at The University of Tulsa as director of premium ticket sales.
On October 27, 2018, Ostroski had his Number "55" honored as a retired jersey.
