TULSA, Okla. –– University of Tulsa Head Basketball Coach Frank Haith added Florida high school senior Bradley Alcime to the Golden Hurricane signing class bringing this year's total number of signees to six, it was announced today.

A four-year letterwinner and two-year starter, the 6'8" Alcime played at Archbishop McCarthy High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Alcime is Tulsa's third signees this year with ties to the state of Florida, including Illinois State junior transfer Rey Idowu and Naples (Fla.) high school product Peyton Urbancic.

"Bradley is a great addition to our Golden Hurricane family. What is intriguing about Bradley is his ability to shoot and put the ball on the floor with his size and frame. He has a tremendous amount of upside with his best basketball ahead of him," said Haith. "He has great athleticism and possesses guard-like capabilities on the offensive end of the court. With development and hard work, Bradley can be a very good player in our system."

Alcime averaged 13.1 points and 7.6 rebounds his senior season, while shooting 47-percent from two-point range, 31-percent from three-point range and 84-percent from the free throw line. Alcime finished his career averaging 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds, while shooting 48-percent from the field and 78-percent from the free throw line.

"Just as important as his upside as a player is Bradley's character. He is a great person with a strong work ethic and intellect to pick up the game," said Haith, "We really enjoyed getting to know Bradley and his family during the recruiting process and hearing what others had to say about him as a person and student-athlete. We believe he is a great fit at The University of Tulsa and for Tulsa Basketball."

Alcime earned honorable mention all-Broward County mention as a senior, while also receiving honorable mention accolades by the Miami Herald for Broward County for Classes 7A-5A.

"Bradley is one of the top-skilled big men in Florida whose ceiling hasn't been reached," said Archbishop McCarthy High School Head Coach Michael Alvarez, "He's a 6'8 versatile wing with the ability to stretch the floor, combining a high three-point percentage with a strong inside game. However, do not make the mistake of underestimating his guard skills. He has the ability to take defenders one-on-one, making them pay with his play-making abilities."

"We are excited to see his development under Coach Haith and his staff. Tulsans are getting a blue-collar gym rat who has the makings of an elite wing.  Congratulations Tulsans, you're getting a good one," added Alvarez.
