TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa Golden Hurricane had a near dominant performance with a 4-1 victory over the LSU Tigers Monday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The 40th-ranked Hurricane improved its record to 9-6, while the Tigers, ranked 42nd nationally, fell to 10-7 on the year. The win over LSU now gives the Hurricane home wins this season over teams from the SEC, PAC-12 and Big 12.
Tulsa grabbed wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to capture the point for a 1-0 lead. LSU tied the score at 1-1 with a singles win at the No. 6 spot, but from that point the Hurricane won the next three matches, from No. 2-4, to clinch the victory.
