
Rachal Lands on AAC Weekly Honor Roll

TULSA, Okla. – Senior Brandon Rachal, for the fourth time this season, was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll, leading the Hurricane in scoring during the final two regular season games at UCF and against NSU, it was announced today.
The Hurricane guard averaged 17 points and 7.5 rebounds in the two games, while also dishing out 4 assists and 2 steals.
On the road against UCF, Rachal was vital in the Hurricane surging back from down 16 at half time scoring 16 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. He shot 7-11 (64-percent) from the field and 2-4 (50-percent) from three.
The Natchitoches, La. native played an all-around great game against Northeastern State scoring 18 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, dishing out three assists and pulling in 2 steals. The senior went 6-11 (55-percent) from the field, 1-3 (33-percent) from three and 5-7 (71-percent) from the charity stripe.
This is the fourth time this season Rachal has been named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll. Rachal's honor is the 10th AAC honor for the Hurricane this season. The senior was named AAC Player of the Week on Jan. 4 after leading TU to wins against then No. 5 Houston and Cincinnati.
Tulsa will be back in action on Thursday, March 11 in the 2021 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Basketball Championship at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas against Tulane at 2:00 p.m. CST.
