
Tulsa Names Patsy Armstrong as Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Enrollment

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa named Patsy Armstrong as assistant athletic director for student-athlete enrollment, it was announced today by Director of Athletics Rick Dickson.
In a new position, Armstrong will be responsible for administering student-athlete enrollment practices, policies and procedures. She will oversee the development and implementation of an enrollment plan for student-athletes as well as other student support programs. Armstrong will serve as liaison with the University Admissions, Financial Aid and Athletics Compliance offices, while assisting with the coordination of in-person prospective student-athlete visits.

Previously, Armstrong spent two seasons at Oklahoma State (2018-20). She served as the director of on-campus recruiting and special events for the Cowboy football program for one year and, in her second year, moved into the role of assistant athletic director/operations for OSU women's basketball.
She joined Oklahoma State in February of 2018 after working five years as a football administration specialist at San Diego State.
During her time with Cowboy football, Armstrong oversaw the strategic plan for OSU's on-campus recruiting for both official and unofficial visits, in addition to leading the recruiting aspect of events such as game days, Cowboy days (junior days), the Orange Blitz, and more. Additionally, she supervised OSU football's recruiting student assistants.
In her role with the women's basketball program, Armstrong assisted with donor relations, summer camps, the ordering and distribution of equipment, coordinating travel and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the basketball office.
At SDSU, Armstrong was responsible for the daily internal operations and served as the team liaison for student-athletes, human resources, development, marketing and NFL personnel. Armstrong oversaw the analytical and evaluation aspects of recruiting and operational needs and managed community engagements for head coach Rocky Long and student-athletes.
Prior to her role with Aztec football, Armstrong worked as a student life advisor at SDSU for seven years.
Armstrong is a 2003 graduate of UC Santa Barbara and received her master's degree from San Diego State in 2008. She has a son, Anthony, who is a freshman student-athlete at Princeton University.
