TULSA, Okla.  ––
The University of Tulsa men's and women's cross-country teams will compete in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday.

The athletes will run on the Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, which will host the 2024 Cross Country NCAA Championship.

The women's 6k "B" race will start at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men's "B" 8k at 11:40. Women will kick off the championship races with their 6k at 12:20 p.m. before the men's 8k follows at 1:00 to close out the festivities.

The Tulsa men hold onto their No. 5 national ranking heading into the Nuttycombe Invitational and finished third at last season's event, while the women will look to improve on their 34th-place showing a season ago.

The competition will be fierce in both classes as eight of the top 10 teams for both men and women will compete on Friday. In the men's event, only No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 7 Wake Forest are absent, while No. 3 Oklahoma State and No. 6 Alabama will not appear in the women's race.

Friday will serve as the final tune-up before championship season starts. The Golden Hurricane will host The American Athletic Conference Championships on Oct. 28, followed by the Midwest Regional on Nov. 11 and NCAA Championship on the 19th.
