Big Homecoming Weekend for Tulsa Teams

TULSA, Okla. –– Although the marquee event for Homecoming 2022 is the Tula-SMU football game scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 p.m., a full weekend of Golden Hurricane sports will kick off Homecoming Weekend on Friday morning.
Tulsa hosts the American Athletic Conference Cross-Country Championships at Mohawk Park beginning at 9 a.m. Friday morning. The Tulsa men will be looking for their 13th straight conference title and ninth American Athletic Conference crown, while the women will be after their sixth AAC championship and fourth consecutive.
The Tulsa volleyball team will host league-leading and #25-ranked UCF at the Donald W. Reynolds Center at 4 p.m. The 7th-ranked Hurricane men's soccer team hosts the UCF Knights at 6 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium.
The Annual Pep Rally and Bonfire and will take place Friday night as well on Dietler Commons, in front of McFarlin Library, following the soccer game. Alumni will continue the Homecoming celebration with TU on Tap from 9-11 p.m.
On Saturday, the Tulsa football team will take on the SMU Mustangs with an 2:30 p.m. kick-off at H.A Chapman Stadium. Homecoming festivities on Chapman Commons begins with tailgating at 9:30 a.m. with inflatables for kids. The Chapman Commons Concert Series kicks off at 11 a.m. with the Keyland Band, while Plain White T's take the stage at 12:15 p.m. Food and drink will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m. for all fans at the Homecoming Tent on Chapman Commons.
The women's volleyball team will close out the weekend at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Reynolds Center against the South Florida Bulls.
