SEASON STATS

TULSA, Okla. – UCA exploded for seven runs in the top of the 6^th inning for a 9-1 win over Tulsa on Tuesday afternoon at the Collins Family Softball Complex.

Tulsa fell to 6-12 on the season, while UCA improved to 11-7.

The Bears tallied one run in each of the first two innings. Tulsa scored its lone run of the game in the 4^th inning when Kylee Nash doubled to right field scoring Abby Jones.

The Bears opened the 6^th with a triple and scored two runs before Jaylee Engelkes cleared the bases with a grand slam over the left field fence to give the visiting team a seven-run inning. Tulsa put one runner on base in the bottom of the inning but failed to push a run across the plate, thus succumbing to the 8-run rule.

Tulsa mustered only two hits in the game while the Bears had 10 hits, with eight of those coming from just three players.

Tulsa will be in action this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, at the Texas Tech Invitational, where the Hurricane will play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and host Texas Tech twice each.
