Four Tulsa Players Sign as UDFAs

TULSA, Okla. –– In addition to NFL draft picks Tyler Smith and Chris Paul, four more Tulsa Golden Hurricane players will have an opportunity to continue their playing careers in the NFL.
 
Defensive players Travon Fuller (CB), Tyarise Stevenson (DL), and Cullen Wick (DL) along with receiver Josh Johnson signed free agent contracts. Fuller with the Buffalo Bills, Stevenson with the Minnesota Vikings, Cullen Wick with the Indianapolis Colts and Johnson with the Detroit Lions.
 
Fuller, a 6'1", 180-pound cornerback from Athens, Texas, played one season at Tulsa after transferring from Texas A&M for the 2021 campaign. He started all 13 games for the Hurricane and tallied 42 tackles, including 25 solos, 4.5 TFL for -11 yards, a team-high 10 pass break-ups and three interceptions for 60 return yards.
 
Fuller ranked fifth in the American Athletic Conference for passes defended (13) and eighth for interceptions (3).
 
A 6'3", 365-pound nose guard, Stevenson returned for a Covid season in 2021 and ended his career with 56 career games played and 39 starts. He had career totals of 109 tackles, 10 TFL for -39 yards and 3.5 sacks for -25 yards.
 
Stevenson, from Donaldsonville, La., tallied 126 stops and 2.5 TFL for -10 yards in 12 games during the 2021 season.
 
Wick, a 6'3", 264-pound defensive end from Hallettsville, Texas, played four seasons for Tulsa after transferring from Blinn Junior College. His 2021 season was cut short to seven games due to injury, but still totaled 24 tackles, eight TFL for -24 yards and two sacks.
 
He completed his career with 95 career stops, 17.5 TFL for -83 yards and 6.5 sacks for -59 yards in 37 games with 14 starting assignments.
 
Johnson, who stands at 5'11" and hails from Little Rock, Ark., played in 34 career games with 16 starts as a three-year letterwinner. He completed his career with 2,108 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns on 165 career receptions for a 12.7 average per catch.
 
As a senior, Johnson completed the 2021 campaign with team-highs of 83 catches for 1,114 yards with six TDs in 13 games. He had six 100+ receiving games, including a career-best 159 yards with one score on nine receptions against Temple.
 
Johnson ranked third in the American Athletic Conference for receiving yards and receiving yards per game as a senior. He ended the 2021 season playing in the East-West Shrine Game and caught four passes for a game-high 98 yards before heading to the NFL Combine.
