Four Tulsa Teams Earn Academic Excellence Award in The American

Tulsa has second-most teams awarded with the AAC excellence award

IRVING, Texas –– The University of Tulsa had four teams earn the American Athletic Conference's Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2020-21 academic year.

The four Tulsa teams recognized with the Academic Excellence Award are women's indoor track & field and women's outdoor track & field (3.68 GPA), men's tennis (3.63 GPA) and men's soccer (3.38 GPA).

The Team Academic Excellence Award is awarded to the institution in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest cumulative grade point average for the year. Tulsa was second to Cincinnati's 10 teams honored this season and Memphis was the only other school to have more than one team recognized with the academic excellence award.
