Fan Appreciation Day Kicks Off the Home Season for Tulsa Football

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa announced the Game Themes for the 2022 Golden Hurricane football season today.

FAN APPRECIATION DAY Presented by U.S. CELLULAR kicks off the home season when Tulsa hosts Northern Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. Festivities will kick-off on Chapman Commons with pregame tailgating opening at 1 p.m. and entertainment starting at 2 p.m. with the Brad Duvall Band. Country Music Star David Nail takes the stage at 3:30 p.m.

The first 5,000 fans entering the game will receive a FREE T-shirt. Hot dogs, sodas and popcorn will be priced at $1 throughout the game.

A week later, it's TULSA'S UNIVERSITY DAY when Tulsa hosts Jacksonville State on Sept. 17. Game time is 6 p.m. TU celebrates the great City of Tulsa and University. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Tulsa city flag magnet.

Tulsa hosts the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday, Oct. 1, as the Golden Hurricane kicks off the month with OKTOBERFEST, featuring a pregame carnival on Chapman Commons along with other entertaining Oktoberfest activities. Game time is TBA.

HOMECOMING is set for Saturday, Oct. 29 as the SMU Mustangs come to town. The theme for Homecoming 2022 is "I Love TU". Game time is TBA.

It's OKLAHOMA FORD MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY when the Tulane Green Wave visit H.A Chapman Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 5. Join TU football as we recognize and honor our brave military personnel.

Tulsa closes out the home season on Friday night, Nov. 18, against the South Florida Bulls with a kickoff of 8 p.m. on SENIOR/LEGENDS NIGHT. Tulsa will honor its senior class and TU Football Legends as part of Retro Night.

Season tickets and single-game tickets are on sale for Tulsa's six-game home schedule. Season tickets range from $75 to $330, while single-game tickets are priced at $15, $30, $40 and $50.

The Mazzio's Family Fun Zone Ticket Plan is also available, which includes two tickets (one adult and one child) priced at $100. Additional youth tickets (12 & under) are $25, and additional adult tickets are priced at $75.
