Tulsa Cross Country Take on Nuttycombe Invitational

TULSA, Okla. –
The Golden Hurricane takes to the road for the prestigious Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday.  
 
Both the men's and the women's cross country teams will race on the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, with the Women's Championship 6K race beginning at 11:00 a.m. (CT) and the Men's Championship 8K race beginning at 11:40 a.m. (CT). Tulsa will also race athletes in the Men's 8K "B" race, beginning at 1:00 p.m. (CT).  
 
Forty-four total teams will race in the Invitational, 22 women's teams and 22 men's. Fierce competition awaits with seven of the top 10 women's teams appearing and eight of the top 10 men's teams vying for the title.  
 
Representing the Tulsa women on the course are juniors Chloe Hershenow and Avery Hill alongside graduate student Katharina Pesendorfer and sophomore Robyn Kowalski. Redshirt freshman Alicen Ashley and McKenna Terrell and freshman Amy Morefield also stand to race for the Hurricane.  
 
In the men's championship, senior Christian Baker is joined by juniors Malte Propp and Chris McLeod and sophomore Sean Korsmo. Redshirt freshmen Charlie Krasnoff, Johnny Livingstone and Chanel Muir, and freshman Luke Birdseye will also compete in the main men's race.  
 
Sophomores Colton Berquist and Luke Lambert are set to appear for the Hurricane in the Men's 8K "B" race.
