TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa and Charlotte will face each other for the first time on the gridiron Saturday afternoon. It's a game that features contrasting programs as Tulsa is in its 127^th season of football and Charlotte is in its 11^th year, having started the program in the 2013 season

The Homecoming contest kicks off at 3:00 p.m. (CT) from H.A. Chapman Stadium.

Both teams will be looking for their second win in the American Athletic Conference. Tulsa comes in with an overall 3-5 and 1-3 AAC mark, while Charlotte is 2-6 and 1-3 on the season. Tulsa has dopped its last three games after opening the league season with a 48-26 home win over Temple.

Charlotte's lone conference win was 10-7 at East Carolina.

Tulsa comes into the game averaging 357 yards per game but allow its opponents 443 total yards and 35.8 points. The Hurricane offensive attack has shown balance with 180.5 coming on the ground and 176 through the air.

The 49ers have totaled 309 total yards, while the defense has held the opposition to 346 yards and 24.6 points.

This marks the 98^th Homecoming game for Tulsa as the Hurricane come in with a 54-40-3 mark in its Homecoming contests.
