Tulsa-Wichita State Suspended Due to Inclement Weather

TULSA, Okla. – Friday afternoon's game between Tulsa and No. 19/21 Wichita State was suspended with the teams tied 2-2 in the top of the fifth inning due to an ongoing rainstorm at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
The game will resume play at 2 p.m. Saturday with Wichita State up to bat with runners on first and second and nobody out. Following the completion of game one, there will be a 35-minute break before the teams meet again for the second game of the series.
Wichita State (40-8, 13-2 AAC) scored a pair of runs in the top of the third to go ahead of the Golden Hurricane. Tulsa (20-23, 6-6 The American) responded in the bottom of the frame. With one out, Haley Morgan started a streak of three consecutive doubles, hitting a long fly ball off the middle of the wall in left. MacKenzie Denson doubled to drive her in and Imani Edwards followed suit to tie the game at two.
Maura Moore had the start in game one. Through the first four innings, Moore has allowed two runs on four hits and struck out five Shockers.
