Tulsa Women’s Soccer Trio Named to The American Watch List

Liliana Fernandez, Kaylyn Simmons and Maggie SymSmith were all tabbed to the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Watch List, as announced today by the league office.

A senior defender from Niceville, Fla., Fernandez is a four-year letterwinner who has started in 56 of 60 games. She has five goals and seven assists for 17 points, while being instrumental in 14 clean sheets. Fernandez tallied one goal and ranked eighth in the league in assists with four a year ago. Off the field, she has been named to The American all-academic team four times and was a College Sports Communicators academic all-district first team honoree last season.

Simmons, a freshman forward from Norman, Okla., played club soccer for Oklahoma Energy FC for two years and was a four-year letterwinner at Norman High School.

A sophomore midfielder from Garland, Texas., SymSmith started in 15 of 16 games as a true freshman and was named to The American all-Rookie team last year.
