The Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision at Oklahoma on Thursday night at John Crain Field in Norman, Okla. TU fell to 0-1 on the season, while OU moved to 1-0 overall.
Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, August 20 against Stephen F. Austin beginning at 12:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer Stadium.
How it Happened
Emma Hawkins put the Sooners on the board at the 17:27 mark as she drilled in cross from Alexis Washington from the six-yard box from right to left. The duo combined again just 63 seconds later on a cross that was punched in from a yard out to give OU the 2-0 lead.
Muriel Kroflin put the Sooners up 3-0 at 31:10 mark off a cross from Morganne Eikelbarner and OU took that lead into halftime.
Just 29 seconds into the second half, Leonie Weber scored on a combination from Danielle Wolfe to Hawkins, and drilled in the goal from two yards out into the left side.
Hawkins earned a hat trick in the 51st minute off a combination from Hadley Murrell and Danielle Wolfe.
Eikelbarner scored the final goal of the contest in the 86th minute from seven yards out in the lower right corner.
