Tulsa’s Leah Diaz and Tatum Sanders Earn Conference Weekly Awards

Madison Tokarchik Named to Honor Roll
TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa women's soccer players Leah Diaz and Tatum Sanders were named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced today.
Diaz scored two goals in Tulsa's first two wins of the season. Against UTEP, she came off the bench to score and tally an assist in 28 minutes. Later in the week, she again logged 28 minutes off the bench, scoring the game-winning goal in the 40th minute to down Central Arkansas.
Sanders logged 180 minutes between the sticks for the Hurricane on the week. The sophomore earned two clean sheets, recording a pair of saves against UTEP and six against Central Arkansas.
Senior Madison Tokarchik was named to the conference's weekly honor roll for her performance in the two wins. The defender played a role in both clean sheets and logged 155 minutes of action. She got it done on both ends of the pitch, scoring the game-winner against UTEP, adding an assist later in the match.
