10/27/2024 5:15:00 PM | Women's Soccer
TULSA, Okla. — It was a hard-fought battle for the Tulsa women's soccer team Sunday at the Hurricane Soccer Stadium, but they finished the home schedule in a 0-0 draw with first-place South Florida (11-2-4, 6-1-3 AAC). The Golden Hurricane moved to 7-8-3 overall and 3-5-1 in American Athletic Conference action.
The scoreless result wasn't due to a lack of effort, as the two teams combined for 34 shots total and 11 shots on goal. South Florida had 16 shots in the second half to finish 22 on the day, seven of which were aimed at Tulsa's net, while the Hurricane finished with 12 shots and attempted four on goal.
Tulsa's junior goalkeeper Tatum Sanders saved the ball seven times and earned her first solo clean sheet of the season and 10th shutout of her career.
The Tulsa women will play their regular-season finale at No. 16 Memphis (11-1-2, 6-0-2 AAC) Thursday night, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m.
How it Happened

Both teams ramped up the offensive attack in the second half, especially South Florida who had 16 total shots and six on goal, all of which were saved by GK Tatum Sanders. The Hurricane recorded five shots and three on goal in the half but none could find their way home.
