Tulsa Golfers in 9th Place at The Bruzzy

ARDMORE, Okla. –– The Tulsa women's golf team finished the first 36 holes at The Bruzzy on Saturday in ninth place with a total score of 591. The Golden Hurricane carded an opening round 294 had an afternoon score of 297 at the par-70 Dornick Hills Country Club.
Redshirt freshman Allyn Stephens paced the Hurricane with a 3-over par total of 143 after turning in rounds of 71 and 72. Lovisa Gunnar sits in 21st place after finishing her first two rounds with a 3-over par 75. She carded rounds of 72 and 73 for 5-over par score.
Only three total golfers shot par or under for the after the first 36 holes.
Tulsa's Grace Kilcrease is in 32nd place after identical rounds of 74 for a 6-over par 146 score heading in Sunday's final round. Sydney Seigel and Jenni Roller are 62nd and 65th, respectively, after the opening day. Seigel has a 157 score while Roller is on stroke back with a 158 total.
Arkansas leads the team standings with a 10-over par 570, followed by UTSA (571), Wisconsin (573), Oklahoma (579) and North Texas and Notre Dame (579, rounding out the top-5 places.
Final round action at The Bruzzy takes place Sunday.
