Golden Hurricane Softball Closes Regular Season at FAU

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa softball team is set for the final series of the regular season as the Golden Hurricane travels to take on Florida Atlantic in a three-game set in Boca Raton, Fla. this weekend.
First pitch is set for 4 p.m. (CT) in Friday's opener inside FAU Softball Stadium. Saturday will begin at 1 p.m. with an 11 a.m. start in Sunday's finale. ESPN+ will carry the broadcast for all three games. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. Tulsa enters the final series with a 29-19 record and 14-10 AAC mark, while the Owls have posted a 38-13 record and sit tied atop the conference leaderboard with Charlotte at 18-6. This is the first time the teams will meet as The American foes. Tulsa is 3-6 all-time against the Owls and 3-5 in games played in Boca Raton. The Hurricane won the last meeting in 2018 1-0, snapping a four-game skid against FAU.
TU sits fourth in the conference as the Hurricane prepares for the weekend. Tulsa ranks second in the conference with a .308 batting average, while FAU is third at .298. Six Tulsa players and Five Owls are hitting above .300 this year. MacKenzie Denson (.391) and Imani Edwards (.389) lead the Hurricane and rank fourth and fifth in the conference for hitting. Jesiana Mora is batting .400 and is third in the conference.
Anneca Anderson is coming off her first career no-hitter in Saturday's win over UTSA, earning her a spot on The American's honor roll. The freshman is 8-5 on the season with a 3.38 ERA. Kylee Nash (2.50) and Muara Moore (2.83) both have sub-3.00 ERAs this season. Moore leads the team with 108 strikeouts.
