Four Golden Hurricane Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

TULSA, Okla. – Four student-athletes from the University of Tulsa softball team earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Haley Morgan, Imani Edwards, Abby Jones and Maura Moore were the four Golden Hurricane to earn a spot on the all-district team.
This is Morgan's second straight season to earn All-District honors. The senior center fielder graduated in May with a degree in exercise and sports science and a cumulative 4.0 GPA.
Edwards is also receiving her second CSC Academic All-District honor in consecutive seasons. The senior shortstop received her bachelor's degree this month in business administration in management with a 4.0 GPA.
Jones and Moore are each making their first appearance on the Academic All-District Team. A senior second baseman, Jones earned her degree in business administration in management earlier in May and finished with a 4.0 GPA. Moore is an exercise in sports science major and the junior pitcher has recorded a 3.83 cumulative GPA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 18.
