DALLAS, Texas – The American Conference announced its men's soccer postseason honors on Thursday, with redshirt sophomore Luke Adams earning Defensive Player of the Year and a spot on the All-Conference First Team. Jared Aguilar was named to the All-Conference Second Team, while Danny Stevens earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.

Adams, a McKinney, Texas native, becomes the fourth Tulsa player to be named the American's Defensive Player of the Year. He started 11 games this season, contributing to five shutouts along the way. Adams also netted the game-winner at Temple, the lone goal of that match, to secure three key points in conference play. His leadership in the backfield helped the Golden Hurricane limit opponents to just 18 total goals this season.

Aguilar earned his second-team selection after an eight-point season, scoring two goals and adding four assists, including one game-winner. A steady presence in the midfield, the Denton, Texas product started 14 matches and contributed to seven shutouts. Aguilar led Tulsa in shots with 25 across 1,300 minutes of play. He was previously named to the 2023 American All-Rookie Team and is also a one-time member of the American All-Academic Team.

Stevens, a native of Munich, Germany, claimed All-Freshman Team honors following an impressive debut season. He started 14 of 15 matches and played a key role in seven shutouts for the Golden Hurricane.

The honorees and the sixth-seeded Golden Hurricane return to action in the first round of the American Men's Soccer Championship on Friday, with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. CT against third-seeded South Florida.
