TULSA, Okla. – Eleven of the University of Tulsa's athletic programs earned a perfect single-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) score of 1000 for the 2023-24 school year, and every program improved their single-year APR.
The following TU teams boasted perfect 1000 scores in the APR single year: men's cross country, men's tennis, men's track and field, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's rowing, women's golf, women's soccer, women's tennis, women's track and field, and volleyball.
"The latest Academic Progress Rate report highlights Tulsa's commitment to academic excellence," said Director of Athletics Justin Moore. "Our student-athletes consistently raise the bar on their journey to graduation, and I couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments."
The University of Tulsa athletic programs earned their highest APR, a score of 996, for the 2023-24 school year.
Not only did the athletic department earn the highest rating, but Tulsa football also received the highest individual academic year APR in program history with a rate of 986.
For the last six years, four programs (women's cross country, women's rowing, women's tennis, and women's track and field) have exceeded an APR score of 985 or better.
Not only did we see the highest individual academic year APR score, the women's golf program had a multi-year (four-year) APR out of a perfect score of 1,000.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success by tracking eligibility and progress toward graduation of each student-athlete on scholarship. The current report contains multi-year rates based on the four years from the 2020-21 academic year through the 2023-24 academic year.
