Concert and Tailgate Experience Set for Season Opener

TULSA, Okla. – Football season is right around the corner and The University of Tulsa has announced the first artist that will perform at the season-opening tailgate. The Matthew Scott Band will be at the TU tailgate prior to the TU vs. Abilene Christian contest.
The concert will kick off at 4:45 p.m., bringing the energy and excitement to the Golden Hurricane fans ahead of kickoff. Admission to the concert is free, creating an unforgettable game-day atmosphere.
Based in Oklahoma, Matthew Scott and his band members recorded their debut album in Austin, Texas at Arlyn Studios with multi–Grammy Award winning Engineer and Rock Producer Jacob Sciba.

The Tulsa Tailgate is located on Chapman Commons and features live music, inflatables, and a beer garden. Fans have the option to "rent-a-spot" on Chapman Commons and bring their own tailgating supplies to their area. If you are interested in having a tailgate at the TU game, click here.
The Golden Hurricane Champions Fund and Alumni Tailgate Tents will open roughly three hours before kickoff.
Tailgating opens five hours prior to kickoff this season. Tailgating will shut down 30 minutes prior to kick-off to allow fans ample time to enter the stadium.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the music, and be part of the electric game-day atmosphere leading into kickoff at 7 p.m.

Season tickets for the 2025 University of Tulsa football season are on sale now as fans can book their seats at H.A. Chapman Stadium for the first season of the Tre Lamb era. Full season packages running from $95 to $350 are available for Tulsa's six-game home schedule.
