
Women's Soccer Scores Late to Tie Florida Atlantic

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Tulsa (6-3-3, 1-1-1) played to a 2-2 draw with Florida Atlantic (3-7-2, 0-2-1) on Thursday evening at FAU Soccer Stadium. Both teams scored twice in the second half, with Tulsa managing to equalize late in the game. Tulsa's goalkeeper recorded seven saves, including four in the second half, to help secure the draw.
Tulsa and Florida Atlantic opened their match with both teams displaying a strong defensive presence. Tulsa's Addison Castleberry attempted an early shot in the 1st minute, but it went wide. Florida Atlantic's Isabel Bostic tested Tulsa's goalkeeper, Tatum Sanders, at the 6-minute mark, but Sanders made the save. Sanders continued her strong performance with additional saves against shots from Hailey Santiago and Lida Dodge. Despite several attempts from both teams, including a shot from Tulsa's Lauren McIntyre, neither side managed to break the deadlock, ending the first half scoreless.
FAU took the lead early in the second half with a goal by Sloane Young in the 56th minute, assisted by Michelle Horan. Madison Micioni extended the Owls' advantage to 2-0 in the 65th minute, with the assist credited to Morgan McDonald. The Golden Hurricane responded late in the game, with Parker McGraw scoring her first career goal in the 88th minute, assisted by Presley Boyd, marking her fourth assist of the season, to cut the deficit to one. Moments later, Hannah Chance equalized for the Golden Hurricane, finding the back of the net for her second goal of the season in the 88th minute, resulting in a 2-2 draw at the end of the second half. The only 18 seconds between adding to the score marked the least amount of time between goals for Tulsa this season.
