
Strong Start for Women’s Golf at the Sam Golden Invitational

CORINTH, Texas – The Tulsa Women's Golf team got off to a fast and strong start to the 2025-26 season at the Sam Golden Invitational. The Golden Hurricane shot 16-under-par 560 to sit tied for third after 36 holes.
TU trails Missouri, which leads the tournament, by eight shots. The Tigers shot a 36-hole total of 552, 24 under par. Louisville sits in second with a score of 18-under-par 558. To view the complete leaderboard, click here.
Leading the way for the Golden Hurricane was newcomer Zoe Shamy. In her first collegiate tournament, Shamy shot two rounds of three-under par 69s over the course of the 36 holes. She sits tied for fifth place.
Allyn Stephens sits tied for 12th after the first two rounds. After shooting three-over-par 75 in the first round, Stephens responded in the second round. She fired a career-best seven-under-par 65 in the second round. She moved up 47 positions on the leaderboard and is four-under-par 140.
Sitting in a tie for 22nd is Jenni Roller, who posted another solid round for the Golden Hurricane. Roller shot three-under-par 69 in the first round and even par 72 in the second round. She is three under par for the tournament.
Reigning American Conference individual champion, Romaine Masserey, sits tied for 47th place. She fired rounds of one-over-par and even par over the first 36 holes of the Sam Golden Invitational.
Making her TU debut was Samantha Olson. Olson got off to a fast start as she shot one-under-par 71 in the first round. In her final 18 holes of the day, Olson was four-over par. She sits tied for 56th place at three-over par 147.
Playing as an individual was Jeanne Pagnier. She was three-over-par 75 in the first round but had a strong second 18 holes and moved up 12 spots on the leaderboard. She shot a round of two-under-par 70 in the second round. She is one over par for the tournament.
The Golden Hurricane tee off for the final round of the Sam Golden Invitational at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. TU will tee off on holes 1-5. Jeanne Pagnier, who is playing as an individual, ties off on hole 17.
