Tulsa Partners with Vet Tix and Bank of Oklahoma to Provide Tickets for Active Military and Veterans

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa Athletics continues to work with the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), a national non-profit organization that provides free and discounted sporting event and concert tickets to more than 1.2 million verified active military and veterans across the country.
"Veterans embody a blend of commitment—to self, community and country. The veterans we employ demonstrate leadership, resilience and a sense of purpose that enriches our culture. We're proud to support veterans through this community partnership in recognition of the immeasurable impact they have on our organization and the communities we serve," said Jeff Reid, Chief Human Resources Officer for BOK Financial.
The relationship with Vet Tix will be over the course of the next year allowing TU Fans to support those who do so much for us. Vet Tix will then supply veterans and active military in the Tulsa Community with those tickets.
Individuals looking to help contribute can purchase a 'Ticket for a Troop' for the Tulsa-Navy Military Appreciation game, scheduled for Saturday, Sept.13, by CLICKING HERE or by calling (918) 631-GoTU (4688). A 'Ticket for a Troop' ticket is priced at $12.00 per seat and for every ticket purchased for a military member, Bank of Oklahoma will generously match it with an additional ticket.
Fans can also donate their tickets specifically to Vet Tix online at VetTix.org. The organization will then supply veterans and active military in Tulsa and northeastern Oklahoma with those tickets.
The mission for Vet Tix is to provide event tickets in order to reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories and encourage service members and veterans to stay engaged with local communities and American life. Vet Tix secures tickets for all branches of the military and veterans, including the immediate family of troops unfortunately killed in action.
Since its founding in 2008, Vet Tix has distributed nearly 7 million tickets to military personnel across the country. Tickets have been given out in all 50 states as well as Washington D.C.
