Tulsa Set to Run at Chile Pepper Festival

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The season is officially underway for the Tulsa Women's Cross Country team as they head east to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Festival. The Golden Hurricane will be one of 68 teams scheduled to compete in the women's Harter Habanero 5K beginning at 11 a.m.
Tulsa placed third in its preseason race, the Cowboy Preview. Sara Morefield led the way with a time of 10:54.7, a personal best in the 3K. Kathryn Koonts ran a 10:54.8 and Matilda Laidlaw ran an 11:06.9, both setting personal bests out of the gate. Sienna Collins, 11:17.2, and Jordyn Cleary, 11:17.7, also scored for Tulsa at the meet.
