STEPHENVILLE, Texas — After falling behind early in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday, Tulsa's bats broke out to the tune of 10 runs to beat Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, 10-5. In the first game of the day Tulsa fell behind early and despite some late offense, fell to Army, 10-5.

In the first game against Army, Tulsa managed eight hits and drew seven walks but was unable to overcome Army's decisive 10-run first inning. Amber Turner made a notable impact with two RBI and a sacrifice fly, while Malia Cabuyaban contributed a key pinch-hit double, driving in two runs. Brinly Maples excelled in relief, pitching 5.2 innings without allowing a run and striking out six. Faith Russell added to the offense with two hits and a walk.

Maci Cole opened the first inning with a single to right field for Tulsa, followed by Russell's single to second base, advancing Cole. A groundout by Emma Vickrey moved the runners, and Claira Skaggs walked to load the bases. Turner then singled, allowing Cole to score, but Army responded aggressively, putting up ten runs, highlighted by a three-run homer from A. White. Score after the first inning: Army 10, Tulsa 1.

In the third inning, Skaggs drew a walk, and Daeya Moses doubled, positioning runners on second and third. Turner hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Skaggs, and a single from Mackenzy Glenn scored Moses, bringing the score to Army 10, Tulsa 3. The fifth inning saw Moses walk and Tallulah Pascucci reach on a fielder's choice, with Cabuyaban doubling to left field, driving in both Pascucci and Rouse. Final score: Army 10, Tulsa 5.

In the second game against A&M-Corpus Christi, Tulsa tallied 14 hits, including four doubles, and a decisive six-run fourth inning to seal the win. Amber Turner posted three hits, including two doubles, and recorded three RBI. Faith Russell scored twice and contributed one RBI, while Maci Cole added two hits, including a double, and scored once while playing shortstop, where she collected five assists. Maura Moore pitched five innings with eight strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs for the win.

A&M-Corpus Christi took an early lead in the second inning, scoring three runs. Guthrie scored on a wild pitch, Thornton scored on the same wild pitch, and Santiago drove in Guthrie with a double, leading 3-0 after the second inning.
