
Tulsa Drops Wednesday Contest After Late OSU Rally

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa fell to No. 21 Oklahoma State 10–7 at the Collins Family Softball Complex. The Golden Hurricane led late but a five-run seventh inning by the Cowgirls proved the difference.
Mackenzy Glenn led the offense with a home run and scored three times. Maci Cole and Emma Vickrey had a pair of RBI for Tulsa. Vickrey and Claira Skaggs picked up two hits each as well.
The game began with Oklahoma State taking an early lead in the first inning, thanks to a two-run homer by Amanda Hasler. In the second inning, Tulsa responded with a strong performance. Glenn singled, followed by a walk from Cole. Vickrey then delivered a crucial single to right center, driving in both to tie the game at 2–2.
Tulsa took the lead in the third inning with a three-run rally. Skaggs doubled, and Daeya Moses singled to put runners on the corners. Glenn was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and Cole hit a two-run single, followed by a wild pitch that allowed Glenn to score, pushing Tulsa ahead 5–2.
Oklahoma State narrowed the gap in the fourth inning with a solo home run by Karli Godwin, bringing the score to 5–3. In the fifth inning, Oklahoma State's Rosie Davis hit a two-run homer, tying the game at 5–5.
Tulsa reclaimed the lead in the sixth inning. Faith Russell reached on a fielding error, allowing Vickrey to score, making it 6–5 in favor of Tulsa. However, the seventh inning saw Oklahoma State surge ahead with five runs.
Tulsa's Glenn hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
Tulsa heads to Memphis for a three-game weekend series.
