East Texas A&M had the first recorded shot of the second half go high at 55:54, and the next stretch turned physical with Brooklyn Bumgardner shown a yellow card at 57:24 before Tulsa began creating chances. Facen forced saves from Emmy Finlinson at 61:21 and 66:31 around a Tulsa corner and a Frederick shot over the bar, while East Texas A&M also earned a corner at 63:03 and received yellow cards to a field and bench player shortly after. Facen led the match with three shots and two on goal. East Texas A&M later generated three shots, including an attempt saved by Maddy Nigey at 78:44, her lone save of the match, but Tulsa came back with a late push as Presley Boyd, Addison Castleberry and Brooklyn Hubbard each had shots saved. Neither side broke through in the second half, and the match finished tied 1-1.

After scoring Tulsa's lone goal in a 1-1 draw with East Texas A&M, Frederick pointed to the group's potential as availability improves. "Teams should be scared, to be honest," Frederick said. "This bench is very deep and once everyone is healthy, teams should be worried."

Tulsa is 4-2-1 overall. East Texas A&M is 1-4-2 overall.

Up next, Tulsa soccer team visits Oral Roberts on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. at Case Soccer Complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Mayor's Cup.
