Following two years working as an athletic performance intern at four different universities, Chris Cervantes was promoted to the position of assistant director for athletic performance at The University of Tulsa in June 2019.
Cervantes worked with the sports of football and women’s volleyball during his internship with the Golden Hurricane.
Before coming to Tulsa in May 2018, Cervantes spent the 2017-18 season as a strength and conditioning intern with the sport of football at the University of Texas. Previously, he spent the summer of 2017 as an intern with the University of Colorado’s football strength and conditioning staff. Before that, Cervantes spent five months at the University of Denver as a sports performance intern.
Cervantes received his bachelor’s degree in biology in 2012 and his master’s degree in sport coaching in 2019, both from Denver.
