Mookie Carlile

Mookie Carlile was appointed to the position of defensive quality control coach at The University of Tulsa in July 2021.
 
Before his appointment, Carlile spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach with the Golden Hurricane. Previously, he spent time with the Tarleton State football coaching staff as an intern and graduate assistant coach.
 
He began his collegiate career at UTEP where he played as a redshirt freshman in 2015 and in 2016 moved to TCU. He finished his playing career at Tarleton State in 2017 and 2018.
 
Carlile was a two-time all-state selection as a safety at Stephenville High School, where he played for current Tulsa defensive coordinator Joseph Gillespie.
