TULSA – A returning letterwinner … completed 9-of-15 passes for 88 yards and a 31-yard touchdown in the 2018 spring game … 2017 – Played in seven games and started five contests at quarterback … had passing totals of 71-of-127 for 1,141 yards and three touchdowns … of his 71 completions, seven went for 50+ yards … rushed for 115 yards and four touchdowns on the season … started five consecutive games before missing the season finale against Temple with an injury … had three games with over 200 passing yards … saw his first action in the season opener vs. Oklahoma State, playing two series, and completed 2-of-3 passes for 10 yards and three rushing yards on two carries … did not play in the next four games … saw his first significant playing time when he was inserted into the Tulane game in the first quarter and played the remainder of the contest, completing 10-of-14 passes for 256 yards and one TD … completed passes of 74, 59, 52 and 36 yards in that game … a week later, started his first career game and completed 9-of-18 passes for 128 yards and one TD in a victory over Houston … threw for a season-best 259 yards on 17-of-27 passing against UConn, with 199 of those yards coming in the second half … rushed for two touchdowns against No. 23 USF, covering 12 and nine yards … 2016 – Was one of several freshmen to sit out the 2016 season due to red-shirt status.
