Ryan Wondrasek enters his first season at Tulsa as part of DJ Gasso's inaugural staff.

Wondrasek spent the last four seasons as the Director of Player Development at the University of Oklahoma on the staff of Patty Gasso, DJ’s mother, winning back-to-back national championships in 2023 and 2024, and back-to-back SEC championships in 2025 and 2026. With the Sooners he oversaw the advanced scouting for all opponents, data analytics and video, while also assisting with recruiting and developing the team’s catchers.
 
“Ryan is an amazing addition to this program,” said Gasso. “His experience at many different levels and roles in this game has prepared him to make an immediate impact. His willingness to learn and grow as a coach will allow him to develop our athletes at the highest level. Ryan is a very loyal individual and the type of person you want in the program to reach pinnacle success.”
 
Wondrasek was an assistant coach for the inaugural season with the AUSL Blaze in 2025. There, Wondrasek was responsible for all offensive and defensive game planning while working as the Blaze Hitting Coach in games. The Blaze finished the 2025 season with the 2nd highest league batting average.
 
Before his time at the University of Oklahoma, Wondrasek spent the 2022 season as the Head Coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. There he led the team to its most wins since 2017 and had two All-Great American Conference selections. Prior to Northwestern Oklahoma State, Wondrasek spent three seasons as the Head Coach at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas. He would have 10 All-Conference selections and earned Conference Co-Coach of the Year honors his first season.
 
From 2016-18, Wondrasek was at the University of Nebraska – Omaha as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He oversaw the team’s offense, infield defense and catchers while coaching third base during competition. He also has experience at the NAIA level at St. Gregory’s University (OK) from 2012-16 as an assistant coach helping lead the Cavaliers to two NAIA World Series appearances, a Sooner Athletic Confrence Title. Wondrasek got his start coaching an assistant varsity baseball coach at Norman North High School from 2007-12, coaching first base and working with the Timberwolf catchers. While at Norman North he coached back-to-back Oklahoma All-State Catchers.
 
Wondrasek graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 while finishing his Master's Degree at East Central University in 2016 in Secondary Education and Sports Administration at East Central University.
