Rylee Keith


After her three-year career as a Golden Hurricane catcher, Rylee Keith now serves as a graduate assistant with The University of Tulsa softball program.

 

Keith came to Tulsa following one season at Seminole State College (Okla.), where she batted .353 with seven home runs and four doubles in 19 games. She began her collegiate career and redshirted in 2019 at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
 

A two-year starter for the Hurricane, Keith came to Tulsa in the 2021 season as a redshirt sophomore. She appeared in 21 games and started 15 contests at either catcher or designated player that first season. Keith completed her career with 103 starts in 118 games played for the Golden Hurricane, playing primarily behind the plate.


Keith recorded 52 hits, 10 doubles, one triple, eight home runs and 32 RBI in her three seasons with the Hurricane. She threw out 25 runners attempting to steal and boasted a fielding percentage of .983 from the catcher’s spot. As a senior, Keith had 19 hits and 14 RBI in 47 games, while turning in a .981 fielding percentage and throwing out 13 base-stealers.


A native of Ardmore, Okla., Keith was a two-sport standout at Plainview High School competing in both track and softball. She was an all-state selection and the Lake County Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a senior.


Keith earned her bachelor’s degree in speech pathology with a minor in health science in May 2023 and is currently working on a master’s degree in speech pathology.
