Men's Golf Team Places 13th at Duke Golf Classic

Durham, NC - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in 13th place at the Duke Golf Classic in Durham, North Carolina on Tuesday. The Hurricane scored a final round 303 for a 911 total at the par-72 Duke Golf Club.
North Carolina State captured the team title with an 876 total, four strokes better than Augusta State, Duke and Virginia Tech, all three teams tying for second place. Wake Forest rounded out the top-five team finishers.
The Hurricane was led by freshman David Inglis, who shot rounds of 76-71-74 for a five-over par 221, which was good for 13th place. It was Inglis' third top-20 finish in as many tournaments. Junior Kevin Henry placed 41st overall with rounds of 78-73-76 for a 227 total, while freshman Logan Goettsch turned in a 52nd place performance with a 230 total.
Sophomore Billy Lowry placed 67th overall with a 234 total, while senior Shawn Matthews carded a 241 total. The individual medalist was Wake Forest's Brent Wanner with a five-under par 211 score.
Tulsa is in action next at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate, Oct. 30-31.
