Box Score

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa junior forward Brent Bayouth came off the bench to record back-to-back goals and the Hurricane scored five unanswered goals to top Evansville, 5-1, for its first-ever win at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.

Despite a muddy, rain-soaked field, Tulsa (8-6-1, 3-4-1 MVC) managed its second-best scoring game of the season as four different Hurricane tallied goals. Both teams had to overcome sloppy field conditions, including massive puddles of water near both goals.

On a day in which TU honored its four seniors, Eric Dominguez fittingly scored the game's first goal at the 8:48 minute mark after junior Chris Spear's shot attempt landed in a water puddle in front of the Evansville goal and Dominguez knocked it in for his ninth goal of the season. Spears picked up the assist on the score.

Later in the first half, the Hurricane blew the game open when Bayouth came off the bench and promptly recorded his second and third goals of the season in a span of 1:05. Bayouth collected a straight pass from senior Shawn McCullough on the left side of the Evansville goal and blasted to the top right corner at 34:25. Just over a minute later, senior Robbie Aristodemo's pass hit the crossbar and landed near Bayouth who quickly knocked the carom in at the 35:30 minute mark for his first career multiple-goal performance. With his assist on Bayouth's second goal, Aristodemo moved into fifth-place among the school's all-time assist leaders with 21.

After leading 3-1 at the half, Tulsa extended its lead to 4-1 when redshirt-freshman Matt Yeager posted his first career goal off a header from the left side at the 49:22 mark. Spears collected his second assist of the game on the score.

Late in the second half, Dominguez was fouled by an Evansville player inside the penalty box. Aristodemo then converted the penalty kick into TU's fifth straight goal of the game at 75:44. The Purple Aces avoided the shutout after one of their players was fouled inside the penalty box by TU sophomore goalkeeper Brent Salter. Evansville's Ricardo Guedes, who missed his first penalty kick early in the game, was good on his second attempt.
